Due to the nature of HIV/AIDS and the opportunistic infections that take hold due to its presence, SAVE realizes that many individuals and families do not need assistance on a regular basis but may need help during times of acute illness or health complications.
Thus, SAVE can temporary pick up the bills that may o
therwise push families into poverty and homelessness during periods where working may become impossible due to illness. This program provides a safety net for those living with HIV, preventing them from sliding into homelessness due to temporary setbacks and allowing them to live with dignity and recover without the devestation that can be delivered due to prolonged illness.
Another way in which SAVE acts proactively to assist those living with HIV and prevent transmission due to desperate circumstances.
